Reading

In order to achieve academic success, students must be able to read and understand a variety of text. Our goal is to provide all schools with the necessary resources and support to ensure that all students learn to read fluently and have positive attitudes about themselves as proficient readers and thinkers in all content areas.

The FAMU DRS reading curriculum follows the state adopted Florida Standards in English Language Arts.

View these standards and related activities here at CPALMS.

You may also view the standards, services, supports, and resources at the Florida Department of Education's Bureau of Standards and Instructional Support website.
