FAMU DRS Athletics - An Overview
The Florida A&M University Developmental Research School is a current member (in good standing) of the Florida High School Activities Association.

The Florida High School Activities Association's aim is to promote, direct, supervise and regulate all interscholastic athletic activities of high school students.

The FAMU DRS currently offers sports programs in the areas of baseball, basketball, flag football, tackle football, golf, fast-pitch softball, track & field, volleyball, and weightlifting. All students are encouraged to participate in one or more activities to reinforce academic excellence and good sportsmanship in the spirit of athletic competition.
In order to participate a student must have a cumulative high school grade point average of 2.0 or above on a 4.0 unweighted scale, or its equivalent, in all courses taken that are required by s.1003.43 (1), Florida Statutes, at the conclusion of each semester to be eligible for participation during the following semester.

Any student enrolled in FAMU-DRS at the secondary level who wishes to participate in a sports program may contact Coach Dione Desir, Athletic Director, at 850-412-5930 or come by the main office for further details.
