FAMU DRS Graduate and Gretna native, Phillip Rumlin-Bond, earns music scholarship to Hartt School

The Javacya Arts Conservatory announces that Phillip Rumlin-Bond, an 18-year-old violinist from Gretna, has been awarded a prestigious scholarship to attend The Hartt School Conservatory of Music in Connecticut — one of the nation’s most respected institutions for classical music study.

A product of Gadsden County and a student of violinist Patrice Floyd at Javacya Arts Conservatory, Phillip’s achievement is a powerful testament to what can emerge from small communities when talent meets opportunity and support.
