FAMU DRS families, the first nine weeks ends October 9, 2026! Please review your student’s grades, attendance, assignments, and progress with them. Use the attached checklist to celebrate their successes and identify any support they may need for a strong start to the next nine weeks.

Notice: Schoolwide Early Release Day on Wednesday, September 9, 2026.
All elementary students will be released at 1:25 pm.
All secondary students will be released at 1:35 pm.

FAMU DRS parents may request information about:

Their child’s teacher’s certification and licensure.
Whether the teacher is working under emergency or provisional status.
The teacher’s college degrees, majors, and areas of certification.
Whether paraprofessionals serve their child and their qualifications.

FAMU DRS highlights its JROTC Program under the command of LTC. Reginald Howard and Sgt. Ralph Harris.

FAMU DRS is pleased to announce that Marlon Williams-Clark, Ed.D., has agreed to serve as Interim Principal of Florida A&M University Developmental Research School (FAMU DRS).

School begins promptly at 8:35 a.m. Scholars are released for pickup at 3:45 pm and must either be picked up or be in an after-school program by 4:00 pm.
