In her role as Deputy Superintendent of Schools for the Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University Developmental Research School District in Tallahassee, Florida, Dr. Patricia West is dedicated to helping create, foster, and maintain a positive, safe, knowledgeable learning environment for all students. The function of the Office of the Deputy Superintendent is multifaceted and includes, but is not limited to, providing leadership through operational oversight, providing administrative support for all district departments, facilitating support for faculty and staff, ensuring safety and security on campus, collaborating with FAMU and the FAMU College of Education, and collaborating with local, state, and federal programs.
Through steadfast collaboration with all stakeholders, a strong partnership with the Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University College of Education, and a powerful alliance with dedicated community partners, Dr. West strives to continuously ensure every student's educational needs are being met by fostering a safe, positive, knowledgeable, efficient, and effective learning and working environment.
