The Florida A&M University Developmental Research School Career and Technology Education Dual Enrollment Program* is a collaborative partnership between FAMU DRS, Tallahassee Community College, Lively Technical College, and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. It is designed to provide our scholars with a wide variety of career and technology dual enrollment opportunities wherein they will have the ability to obtain industry-related skills, credentials, and knowledge while earning high school credit, college credit, industry certification, career certificates, program certification, Associate of Science degrees, and/or Associate in Applied Science degrees.

Students selected to be admitted to the program are expected to commit to completing the program selected, with the understanding that all program courses are extremely rigorous.

*This program focuses strictly on career and technical dual enrollment programs (career dual enrollment programs) and is not the same as the FAMU DRS + FAMU Dual Enrollment program.

CTE dual enrollment allows students who are still in high school to take college-level, career and technical education courses and accelerate their educational achievement. CTE dual enrolled students earn credits towards high school graduation, while at the same time earning college credits in a career dual enrollment program.

Due to the limited space available and the program requirements and expectations, potential student participants will go through a specified application and selection process. Please be reminded, meeting minimum program admission/enrollment requirements does not guarantee program admission, selection, or enrollment. Applicants and their parent(s)/guardian(s) will be notified about acceptance through the e-mail provided in their application. The application process is detailed in the FAMU DRS Career and Technical Education Dual Enrollment Student Handbook.
