Poetry Slam and Freestyle Rap Session
 

In honor of Black History Month, on Friday February 18th, 2022, there will be a Slam Poetry and Freestyle Rap Session held After School in Mr. Thompson’s Room 623 from 3:20PM to 4:00PM.

 

Please come to Mr. Thompson room to sign up at least 2 days in advance.  

 

The theme this year: Black is Beautiful! 

 Spectators must sign up, too.  

Please come out and show off your skills.

In honor of Black History Month, There will be a Natural Hair Show Case Interest Meeting for Students, Parents, and Faculty on Tuesday February 15th 6:00pm.

In honor of Black History Month, on this Friday February 11th, 2022, Students are allowed to dress like their favorite Black HISTORICAL figure. Students who do not dress out must wear the original school uniform.  

If you have students who do not identify as Black, they may still participate by dressing as historical figures that has been allies to the Black community. For ideas, please feel free to contact me via email.

Representatives from the Yearbook Committee and the SGA Media Liaisons will go around school throughout the day to take pictures of students who dressed like their favorite historical figures.   

REMEMBER - No ripped jeans, No open toed shoes, no cleavage, no exceptions If a student can't tell you who they are, they probably are just out of uniform for the sake of it.

Rules will be strictly enforced. Remember, if we ruin it this time, we won’t get a next time so follow the rules.
