Superintendent's Corner-November 2019
Good Day Baby Rattlers,
As we approach the mid-point of the 2019-2020 academic school year, I would like to commend the FAMU DRS community for your ongoing, unwavering support. We have had several tremendous successes which would not have been possible without the engagement from students, faculty, staff and our community. You proudly and enthusiastically represent FAMU DRS and your commitment is infectious and exciting to witness.
A few points of note:
- Thank you to everyone who worked diligently and tirelessly to make our Homecoming activities a success. Your work did not go unnoticed. We received compliments on everything from the Coronation, to the parade, the reception and the game. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our first FAMU DRS Homecoming and we appreciate the warm FAMU-ly welcome.
- Congratulations to our student-athletes! Your perseverance proved and is continuing to prove that we excel in the classroom, as well as on the court and in the field. Let’s continue to support our teams as we transition to winter and spring sports.
- Please remember that classes will be canceled on Friday, November 22, for the Florida Classic. Be sure to get your tickets. Go Rattlers!
- FAMU DRS will also be closed from Monday, November 25 to Friday, November 29 to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday. I hope you all have a great week and safely travel to and from your destinations.
Again, thank you for your continued support in ensuring our students strike for the best.
