FAMU DRS School District believes that all of its students and school employees be afforded an educational setting that is safe, secure, and free from bullying and harassment of any kind.  At FAMU DRS bullying and/or harassment are Level III Student Code of Conduct infractions and are major acts of misconduct.  Bullying and/or harassment will not be tolerated and disciplinary action will be taken.  In addition to school consequences, criminal charges may also be filed.  FAMU DRS is a Bullying zero tolerance school district and school.

 

FAMU DRS has a procedure for publicizing the policy, which is also included in the school’s publication of the code of student conduct required under f. s. 1006.07(2):

FAMU DRS School District has a procedure for reporting an act of bullying or harassment, including provisions that permit a person to anonymously report such an act per  Florida Statute 1006.147(4)(f):

FAMU DRS has a process to investigate whether a reported act of bullying or harassment is within the scope of the district school system and, if not, a process for referral of such an act to the appropriate jurisdiction per Florida Statute 1006.147(4)(h):
FAMU DRS has a procedure for regularly reporting to a victim's parents the actions taken to protect the victim per Florida Statute 1006.147(4)(m):

FAMU DRS has a procedure for providing instruction to students, parents, teachers, school administrators, counseling staff, and school volunteers on identifying, preventing, and responding to bullying or harassment per  Florida Statute 1006.147(4)(l):
