Dr. Clayton Clark, II

            Born in Chicago and raised in Tallahassee, Clayton J. Clark II attended FAMU High from Kindergarten until his graduation in 1989.  He then graduated from Florida A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering, and minor degrees in Mathematics and Chemistry in May 1993.  Next, he graduated from the University of Florida with a Master of Engineering degree in 1995 and a Ph.D. degree both in Environmental Engineering in 1999.  After working on the faculty in the Department of Civil & Coastal Engineering at the University of Florida since 1999, Dr. Clark accepted an offer to join the faculty at Florida A&M University in the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering in 2008, where he is presently a full Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering.  Dr. Clark also received a Master’s degree in Biblical Studies from the Tallahassee Christian College and Training Center in 2018. 

Dr. Clark is a licensed Professional Engineer and has nearly 40 published peer-reviewed articles and books; and has served on numerous national and international committees. His research interests include combining chemical and environmental engineering techniques for remediation of hazardous wastes; groundwater hydrology; water resources engineering; environmental sustainability; and STEM education.

            He is married to the former Kimberline Nealy in 2000, and they have five children, Clayton III, Chayce, Cana, Cala, and Chancellor.

He gives all praise and glory to God through his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for his life and all He has allowed him to accomplish, and seeks to know Him more every day.
